Templates

Explains templates as the main process definition in Stubber. Templates define reusable structure for states, actions, contexts, layouts, data, branches, and live stubs.

Templates are the main definition of a process in Stubber. They define what can be executed inside the Stubber platform.
If you're a builder on Stubber, you will create templates to define your processes, AI agents, or automations.

Templates are saved as JSON definitions that can be executed in the Stubber platform.

A template can represent a simple process or a complex AI agent. Most templates will have multiple states and transitions between them.

# Template structure

The example below shows a small template definition. It includes a draft branch with a default context, a flow with one state and action, and a layout. Other branches and contexts can use the same structure. See the pages on contexts, states, actions, and layouts for details about each part.

This is a structural example, not a ready-to-import template: UUIDs, actions, states, and layout are usually created and maintained in Stubber Editor. The platform may also add metadata when a template is saved or retrieved.
